Submissions are now closed for your chance to get up to £10,000 funding for your next creative project
A new fund was launched this month for artists working in Surrey who are interested in creating new projects in collaboration with Arts Partnership Surrey.
Funding of up to £10,000 is available to around five artists and creative organisations working in a range of artforms for a set of one year projects to be delivered from April 2024.
Arts Partnership Surrey is looking for proposals that meet the following objectives:
- Health and wellbeing: Improving the mental health of our residents and reducing social isolation
- Economic development: Helping our local high streets, businesses and community hubs to thrive
- Community empowerment: Making sure that everyone in Surrey has a voice in their community.
APS is especially keen to hear from artists from diverse backgrounds and underserved communities.
Charlotte Hall, Arts and Cultural Services Manager, Waverley Borough Council:
“Arts Partnership Surrey delivers vibrant community led arts to improve the lives of local people. We are excited to announce the launch of this new fund which will help us to deliver on our vision for Surrey as the home for equal access to the arts. We are looking for creatively ambitious proposals that will deliver a lasting impact for Surrey communities.”
Arts Partnership Surrey is a long standing group of local authorities working together since 2004. This year, it began to refresh its strategic approach and operations. The partnership consulted many of the wonderful artists and arts organisations in Surrey to develop a new and exciting creative offer for Surrey communities, that is rooted in their needs and priorities.
