Delight in Shakespeare increases access to theatre for children with low cultural capital. Through a seven-week journey with Macbeth, 540 children across 10 Surrey schools will discover that theatre belongs to everyone.
Delivered in partnership with Guildford Shakespeare Company, Delight in Shakespeare immerses children in a magical world of Shakespeare and sparks their enthusiasm for drama and storytelling. Throughout the programme teachers help children unlock Shakespearean language, devise scripts, craft sets and props, and design costumes, culminating in an original performance of Macbeth to share with families.
