Project year: 2024
We are pleased to announce that Arts Partnership Surrey will be working with Peer Productions to present their project, The Forest In Between.
The Forest In Between is a peer-led preventative touring play about mental health during transitional periods aimed at children aged 10-11, in their final year of primary school, to support their well-being during the move from primary to secondary school.
The play will feature a full cast of young actors (aged 18-23) and will support young people with emotional resilience, offering coping mechanisms for dealing with change, signpost to additional sources, and normalize and contextualise anxious feelings.
The project will be supplemented by a teacher’s pack and wraparound support to schools, including pre-performance preparation, lesson plans, signposting, and takeaway packs for young people.
Delivery Timeline: May-July 2024
Delivery Locations: Waverley, Woking, Elmbridge, Spelthorne, Surrey Heath, Runnymede.
